—  Why private yoga?

About YogaSidekick.

YogaSidekick all began because I kept hearing the same song: people are intimidated by the San Francisco yoga studio scene. I've met an astounding number of people who refuse to try a yoga class because the nature of the yoga community in SF is indeed intimidating. That saddens me to the core, because well, yoga has truly changed my life. The thought that something so grounding and friendly in nature can be seen as intimidating and scary is very backwards to me. But I totally get it. It makes sense. In the land of yoga, where there is at least one studio every 2 blocks, where does one begin?

Wouldn't it be great to have a one-on-one experience with a seasoned yoga practitioner who can help introduce you to a studio/class/teacher that is a good fit for you, based on your yoga goals ?

That's where YogaSidekick comes in! We meet in-person for a free consultation to get to the core of your yoga goals. From there, we map out a plan to achieve your yoga goals, no matter if it is just feeling comfortable in a yoga class, or hitting that peak posture.

Are you ready to get started? Let's go!

About Jessi.

Jessi Patrick was born and raised southwest of Atlanta and attended The University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!) for both her undergraduate and graduate education. She lived and worked in Athens, GA post graduation, where she was introduced to yoga at her local gym. Although it was a modest start, she truly found the benefits and relief to her spinning mind and aching body (from years of gymnastics and competitive cheerleading).

It wasn't until she moved to San Francisco in 2014 that she truly fell in love with yoga. She quickly found her tribe and teachers at The Pad, Yoga Tree, Laughing Lotus, and most recently, Love Story Yoga. Jessi can be found at one of these studios on any given day throughout the week, and truly finds joy in the community that she has become a part of at all studios.

After teacher training in 2015, Jessi quickly realized that she had a strong calling to provide hands-on adjustments and 1:1 teaching to students. In fact, she spent a year working part-time at Ritual Hot Yoga, where she provided and developed a strong skill for providing hands-on adjustments and private training sessions to members.

Now, she is enjoying providing private sessions for aspiring and seasoned yogi's and would love for you to be part of her tribe!

"Jessi is a fantastic yoga instructor. She spends the time getting to know you, understanding your yogi goals, where you want to grow, and most importantly, what would make it a fun experience for you. I started working with Jessi so I could strengthen my yoga practice and conquer some hard poses that I didn't have the confidence to try in my yoga classes. As a result, I feel confident in practicing at a new studio, my yoga posture has drastically improved, and even created my own daily routine at home! I highly recommend working with Jessi, she will take your yoga practice to the next level!"        - Bruna M., August 2017
